MedConsult AI provides an AI-powered platform for healthcare professionals to:

  • Create and manage consultation notes
  • Generate AI-powered summaries of clinical encounters
  • Draft and send patient follow-up communications
  • Upload and process audio recordings and clinical documents
  • Query patient records using AI-assisted search

3. User Responsibilities

Professional Use

You represent that you are a licensed healthcare professional or authorized staff member working under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.

Clinical Responsibility

You acknowledge that AI-generated content (summaries, email drafts, extracted data) is intended as a tool to assist, not replace, professional medical judgment. You are solely responsible for:

  • Reviewing all AI-generated content before use
  • Ensuring accuracy of patient communications
  • Maintaining appropriate clinical oversight
  • Complying with applicable medical regulations and standards of care

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Patient Data and Privacy

You agree to:

  • Only enter patient data for which you have appropriate authorization
  • Obtain any necessary patient consents before using the Service
  • Comply with all applicable privacy laws (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
  • Not use the Service to process data in violation of patient privacy rights

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Upload malicious files or content
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Exceed rate limits or abuse API access

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by MedConsult AI and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all patient data and clinical content you create using the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

AI-generated content is provided "as-is" without any warranty of accuracy. The Service uses advanced language models which may occasionally produce errors, omissions, or inappropriate content. You must:

  • Review all AI-generated content before clinical use
  • Not rely solely on AI output for clinical decisions
  • Report any concerning AI behavior to our support team

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEDCONSULT AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any errors or omissions in AI-generated content
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Any third-party conduct on the Service

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MedConsult AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data before termination.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which MedConsult AI operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
